Today is the day that the Sky Squid arrive
When the Steam Snails are ready to race
And the Clockwork Clams are beginning to sing
While the Leeches swarm over my face
This day, what a day! When the Strange Creatures come
Be they Olden or Eldritch or Fey
They will come only once, never coming again
On this day at the end of the age
They shall fly through the air, they will burrow with speed
Using footsies and finsies and paws
Just get out of the way on the day that they come
Or you’ll risk being snared by a claw
Where they’re from, who can say? Prob’ly far away
For I’ve never seen their kind before
Where they’ll
Straining through the dark
The cosmic ill grows strong
Leaving its darkened stars behind
Seeking out
Spreading through the endless æons
A brightly spinning sphere
Shining with offensive beauty
Taking form
A shape
And name;
Eldritch Abomination

Literature
Of Innocence Lost and What Was Gained
Speaking to the Oblivion of Augustus Waters
A day will come when days will end
When humanity is gone
And scars are erased
And upon that day
That day that I will never see
Will there yet be anyone
Looking out
Upon the universe
Now empty
And will they say
Will they say
That it was worth it
I cannot claim that it was...good
Nor can I say it's wrong
My life, no more even mem'ry
Anymore
Upon this place
This feeble intersection
Of time and space
Emptied evermore
My deeds, both good and bad
Their purpose seeming without meaning
Pervade my thoughts
But regardless of gain and loss
It is nothing in the end
But I Say
I say to
